CAIR-NY Condemns Antisemitic, Neo-Nazi Vandalism in Queens

(NEW YORK, NY, 5/6/26) - The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY), a chapter of the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the antisemitic and neo-Nazi vandalism of several Jewish institutions in Queens, including a community center, synagogue, two homes, and a vehicle. 

The incidents are currently being investigated by the Hate Crimes Task Force. The NYPD has released images of four suspects.

In a statement, CAIR-NY Executive Director Afaf Nasher, Esq., said: 

“We strongly condemn these acts of antisemitic, neo-Nazi hate. Every New Yorker has the right to feel safe in their community without the looming threat of bigotry and violence. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in efforts to identify those responsible for this attack and ensure they are held accountable.” 

She said Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
