CAIR-NY to Participate in World Hijab Day Press Conference

(New York, NY, 1/30/2017) – In celebration of February 1st as World Hijab Day, a day set aside to reaffirm Muslim women’s right to wear the religious garb, the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) will join the South Asian Fund For Education, Scholarship & Training (SAFEST), New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, and other public officials and civil society organizations at a press conference to speak on the importance of the event and re-emphasize the rights of Muslim-Americans.
