This campaign is an opportunity for supporters to make a meaningful impact while engaging in a friendly fundraising competition. Every dollar raised helps CAIR-NY defend civil rights, provide free legal services, educate communities through Know Your Rights workshops, and advocate for justice across New York.
Whether you are fundraising as an individual or as part of a team, your efforts directly strengthen CAIR-NY's mission and expand our ability to serve our community.
Every conversation you have, every story you share, and every donation you inspire helps defend civil rights, empower communities, and advance justice across New York.
Together, we can grow our movement, strengthen our community, and ensure that CAIR-NY continues to protect the rights and dignity of those we serve.
The winner will be rewarded with a free Umrah trip sponsored by Noble Hajj.

GUIDELINES
1. Fundraise Ethically
All fundraising activities must be lawful, ethical, and consistent with CAIR-NY's mission and values. Participants may not engage in misleading, deceptive, or inappropriate fundraising practices that could harm the organization or misrepresent its work.
2. Use Multiple Outreach Methods
Participants are encouraged to use a variety of fundraising strategies, including:
Social media
Email campaigns
Text messaging
Phone calls
Personal conversations
Community events
Professional and personal networks
The most successful fundraisers are those who make personalized asks and consistently engage their network throughout the campaign. You can check out our Fundraising Tool kit for ideas on best practices when fundraising!
3. Online Donations Only
All donations must be made through your official CAIR-NY fundraising page.
Cash, checks, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or any other offline payment methods will not count toward the competition. This policy ensures accurate tracking, transparency, and fairness for all participants.
4. Maximum Donation Amount
To ensure a fair and competitive fundraising contest, no more than 50% of a participant's total funds raised may come from a single donor.
Donors are welcome to contribute any amount in support of CAIR-NY's mission. However, for contest scoring purposes, only up to 50% of a participant's final fundraising total may be attributed to one individual donor. Any amount exceeding this limit will still support CAIR-NY but will not count toward the participant's contest ranking.
5. Minimum Number of Unique Donors
To be eligible for prizes, participants must receive donations from at least 20 unique donors.
The purpose of this challenge is to grow CAIR-NY's community of supporters rather than rely on a small number of major gifts.
6. Verification of Donations
CAIR-NY reserves the right to review all donations to ensure the integrity of the competition.
Multiple donations from the same individual or payment method may be combined for contest purposes. Any attempt to manipulate fundraising totals, create fraudulent donations, or circumvent contest rules may result in immediate disqualification.
PROGRESS TRACKING
Live Leaderboard
A public leaderboard will display fundraising progress throughout the campaign, allowing participants to track their performance and encouraging friendly competition.
Real-Time Updates
Fundraising totals will automatically update as donations are received through each participant's fundraising page.
Campaign Deadline
Only donations received through your official fundraising page before the campaign deadline will count toward the final standings.
Late donations will support CAIR-NY's mission but will not be included in the competition totals.
