Join CAIR-NY on Tuesday, March 11 as we bring together Muslims from across New York to directly meet with their representatives and discuss the issues affecting New York’s Muslim Community. At Muslim Day at the Capitol, participants receive training (no special skills or prior experience is necessary!), support, and encouragement throughout a day of civic engagement filled with meetings with elected officials. This event is educational, empowering and vital to the success of our community.

This unique opportunity provides community members with the ability to learn the intricacies of state and local government, meet your political representatives and develop the skills to be an effective advocate for your community!

This program:

  • Arranges meetings for Muslims from across the State of New York directly with our elected officials in the State Capitol.
  • Trains and Prepares Muslims to discuss bills currently under consideration by our elected officials that impact our community.
  • Makes our elected officials aware of the needs and concerns of the Muslim community.
  • Advocates for the support of important legislation before our elected officials in the current legislative session.
  • Join us as we urge our representatives to show bold leadership in finding real solutions to the issues affecting the quality of life of New York Muslims! Make your voice heard!
